Who We Are
We see ourselves as a fellowship of believers redeemed at great cost with the blood of our precious Savior Jesus Christ. We are a diverse collection of God’s people – young and old, married and single, parent and grandparent, newborn through retirement, each one precious and uniquely designed by their Creator to fulfill His divine purpose in this generation.
Generations was birthed through a small group of believers who had a vision to keep things simple, to enable each other to focus our time toward the ministry and the people God has placed within each member’s sphere of influence. We intended that our time together in weekly worship would be inter-generational, honoring the unity and opportunities that can come when young and old worship together. As a result, this vision continues to guide the decisions we make regarding our ministry together and how we allocate our time and resources. We began worshiping in a home in April of 2004. In order to accommodate the number of believers God was bringing together, we moved to Allendale in the Fall of 2005 where we met thru July 2010 in the Allendale High School. We then met at the Mocha-n-Music in Hudsonville, Michigan for 3 ½ years until their business closed in October 2013. We renovated part of the old wood factory established by Howard Miller Clock Company located at 120 W Washington, Zeeland, Michigan where we are now meeting. We hope to never lose sight of the fact that this ministry is about the fellowship of believers, not the location, size, or ownership of the building we meet in.
What to Expect on Sunday's
Some folks are there by 10am usually so feel free to come early - service starts promptly at 11am! Please note that we do not have Kid's church, bible study, or other program's, just a congregation of folks who worship the Lord together in community. We sing both contemporary songs and classical hymns and our services typically last 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. At times we may have a meal after, and quarterly we celebrate the Lord's supper with a special fellowship meal after. We hope to see you there!
